We are seeking experienced and dedicated Housekeepers/Room Attendants to join our team at a prestigious Four-Star or Five-Star hotel. The ideal candidates will demonstrate attention to detail, professionalism, and a commitment to ensuring a comfortable and clean environment for our guests.
Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to guest requests and needs, as well as requests from other departments.
Prepare and load carts with necessary supplies such as linens and move them to the required areas.
Enter guest rooms following proper procedures, ensuring rooms are vacant before entry.
Replace used amenities and ensure guest rooms are restocked with essentials.
Provide clean linens and terry while removing soiled ones.
Make beds, fold terry, and ensure bathrooms are spotlessly clean.
Inspect room appliances and ensure they are functioning correctly.
Dust furnishings and walls, removing any marks or stains.
Perform vacuuming and other floor care duties in hallways and guest rooms.
Adhere to all company policies, safety, and security procedures.
Report safety hazards, injuries, maintenance issues, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times.
Handle proprietary information with confidentiality.
Qualifications:
Previous housekeeping or guest service experience in a Four-Star or Five-Star hotel.
Certification in food handling and possession of a Skill Pass.
Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and products.
Flexible working hours and ability to adapt to schedule demands.
Proven ability to work independently while maintaining high-performance standards.
Physical mobility, stamina, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
Polite, professional demeanor, and excellent communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary:
Basic Monthly Wage: €926/month with paid overtime.
Leave Entitlements:
Paid Vacation Leave: 240 hours as per Malta law.
Parental Leave: Unpaid leave of up to 4 months for birth, adoption, or legal custody of a child (valid until the child reaches 8 years).
Urgent Family Leave: Up to 15 hours annually for family emergencies, deducted from vacation leave.
Sick Leave:
15 days of full pay and 36 days of half-pay upon completing the probationary period.
Other Benefits:
Automatic salary adjustments for cost-of-living increases when applicable.
The gross base pay is subject to applicable taxes.
