We are looking for a skilled and reliable General Maintenance/Handyman to join our team in Malta. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing maintenance repairs, identifying potential issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of facilities and equipment.
Responsibilities:
Perform basic tasks such as painting, filling crevices, and cleaning facilities.
Handle maintenance repairs for company machinery, equipment, or appliances.
Detect and report major maintenance repair needs.
Conduct routine inspections of community spaces to identify issues such as litter, mechanical failures, or breakdowns.
Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from clients.
Repair plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.
Maintain the cleanliness of outdoor spaces, including parking lots and sidewalks.
Oversee the sprinkler system and trash containers on company premises.
Assess the performance of appliances such as refrigerators, microwaves, stoves, ovens, and coffee makers.
Provide clients with guidance on the proper maintenance of their equipment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
Skill Pass certification.
Minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
Ability to use hardware tools and power equipment effectively.
Highly organized with excellent communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary:
Basic Monthly Wage: €1,200/month gross with paid overtime.
Leave Entitlements:
Paid Vacation Leave: 240 hours as per Malta law.
Parental Leave: Unpaid leave of up to 4 months for birth, adoption, or legal custody of a child (valid until the child reaches 8 years).
Urgent Family Leave: Up to 15 hours annually for family emergencies, deducted from vacation leave.
Sick Leave:
15 days of full pay and 36 days of half-pay upon completing the probationary period.
Other Benefits:
Automatic salary adjustments for cost-of-living increases when applicable.
The gross base pay is subject to applicable taxes.
